Canine Design School of Grooming

Our objective at Canine Design School of Grooming is to provide a complete training program for individuals wishing to pursue a career as a dog grooming professional.  This course is designed to teach a wide variety of skills to groom dogs of all breeds. We will combine in-depth instruction and demonstrations with hands-on experience to help each individual student gain knowledge, professional skills and confidence.

Canine Design School of Grooming will train you under close supervision in our "state of the art" grooming facility, using the latest tools and techniques in the industry.

CURRICULUM

  • Dog handling
  • Safety precautions and first aid
  • Nail trimming
  • Pre-bath prep
  • Bathing and drying
  • Brushing and combing
  • Mat removal
  • Ear plucking/cleaning
  • Use of scissors and clippers
  • Identification of parasites
  • Various cuts by breed and mixed breed
  • Participation in actual grooming of various breeds
  • Overview of cat grooming

SCHEDULE
Classes will run for approximately 12 weeks, totaling 300 class hours.

TUITION
The tuition cost is $4,500 plus $600 for the cost of your own grooming kit. We accept major credit cards. The tuition cost may be paid in 3 installments. A $50 non-refundable application fee will be deducted from the cost of tuition.

COMPLETION OF PROGRAM
After completing 300 hours of training and a final exam, an assessment of your performance will be provided to you, along with a written recommendation for your future use in obtaining employment.
